Evetything Work Permits in Turkey or Çalışma İzni:

       According to the Turkish Labor Law, all foreign nationals must obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance and the Social Security Administration. Guarantees.
It should also be noted that obtaining a work permit is a type of work as a residence permit.
Also, after 5 years of continuous renewal of the work permit, you can apply for citizenship, or after 8 years of continuous extension, you can apply for a residence permit without restriction (SINIRSIZ OTURMA IZNI), which is usually for countries that do not allow dual citizenship.

Applying for a work permit is generally done by hiring companies, and some steps or documents must be done or prepared by the person being hired.


There are two general ways to get a work permit.

1.The Foreigner is Outside Turkey (usually the mother country):

     In this case, most of the work is done by the Turkish Consulate. Initially, the employee is registered through the Turkish Consulate to obtain a work visa (residence through work). A 16-digit code is given to the hiring company to submit its application electronically to the Ministry of Labor and Insurance via the Internet. The uploaded documents will be sent to the Ministry of Labor by mail within 10 working days. After the final review, a positive or negative result of the work permit will be issued. If the conditions are accepted and the work permit is obtained, the recruited person will return to the Turkish Consulate and pay the costs related to the card issuance. Obtaining a work visa comes to Turkey. The recruiting company or its affiliated lawyer notifies the Social Security Administration (Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu _SGK) of the recruited person’s insurance within a legal period of time after the employment begins.

2.If The Foreigner is Inside of Turkey:

     In this case, the hired person must have a residence permit for at least 6 months in Turkey (this period is fixed for all types of short-term residence except student residence). Uploads the desired documents, then the uploaded documents are sent by mail to the Labor Office within 6 working days. The Labor Office presents its positive or negative result after reviewing the application for a work permit. And the card is sent to the employer’s place of work by the Ministry of Labor.

  • If the work permit application is rejected, the employer company cannot submit a new application for the employee for one year.
  • If the work permit application is rejected, it is possible to apply for other types of residence within 10 working days.
  • If you end up working, it can be turned into a short-term tourist stay.
  • Residence will also be granted if a work permit is obtained for the spouse and children under 18 years of age

 

Some Required Documents from The Hiring Company:

  1.  Electronic information and signature of the company or the person in charge or the relevant lawyer in the affairs of the Social Security Administration (SGK)
  2. Company activity sheet taken from the trading room.
  3. Company insurance receipt
  4. Registration of the official newspaper of the company

Some Required Documents from The Employee:

  1. In case of marriage, the name and surname of the spouse and their nationality
  2. ID card and its official translation
  3. Degree or certificate of achievement of job ability that has been approved by notaries (NOTER)
  4. personal photo
  5. Passport and scan it
  6. Residence card if reside

 

Some Conditions of The Hiring Company to Register a Work Permit:

  • Have at least 5 Turkish citizens employed per foreigner.
  • Has a minimum capital of 100,000 TL or a minimum annual sales of 800,000 TL.
  • If the company is active in the field of export, its minimum export volume is equal to $ 250,000.

Note: By registering a company, you can also obtain a work permit and, consequently, a work residence. In this case, if the company is registered in person (normal), the minimum capital must be 100,000 TL. The company is newly established and we intend to hire Turkish citizen personnel in the future. You can get a work permit. After 6 months, 5 Turkish citizens must be employed by the company for each foreign national.

     These amounts are calculated by the Social Security Administration (SGK) but approximately vary depending on the minimum wage in the Turkish Labor Office depending on the various occupations, for example:
Person hired by the company in the sales department:
Insurance for the minimum wage * 1.5 = 1800 tl
Tomorrow hired by the company as an engineer:
Insurance for the minimum wage * 4 = 4700 tl
Tomorrow hired by the company as a teacher:
Insurance for the minimum wage * 3 = 3540 tl

 

In Addition to Companies, Real People Can Also Benefit from Foreign Nationals as Nurses at Home as Employers. In This Case, the Person Being Cared for Must Have The Following Conditions:

  • Children under 12 years
  • Elderly over 65 years
  •  Also for patients who have a report from a doctor.
