What is the difference between a residence permit and citizenship ?

     Turkish citizenship means having an official ID of the Republic of Turkey, a Turkish passport and enjoying the rights offered by the Republic of Turkey.

How many types of short-term accommodation are there?

      1.Foreign persons with immovable property (real estate) in Turkey

      2.foreigners who have a business relationship or create a job

  1. Foreigners who stay for tourist reasons.
  2. Foreign people participating in Turkish language classes.
  3. People who attend training classes for services.
  4. Foreigners who are unemployed in Turkey and have invested in the amount determined by the Presidential Institution – themselves, their spouses and their dependent children (less than 18 years).
  5. Citizens of the Republic of Northern Cyprus, if eligible

Note: The duration of the extension or even non-renewal of the residence permit can vary according to the rules for different people.


 

What are the ways to obtain Turkish citizenship?

Turkish citizenship is obtained in two ways

      1.By birth

  1. People who are not born in Turkey

Note: By order of the authorized authority, taking a home child or using the right of choice, obtaining citizenship after that (birth) can be obtained.

What is the value of real estate purchased to receive citizenship?

     Exceptionally obtaining Turkish citizenship through the provision of real estate has different conditions depending on the different years. According to the latest corrections from 19.09.2018, the purchased real estate must have a minimum value of $ 250,000.

     In addition, with the contract of sale of real estate or real estate, it is possible to obtain Turkish citizenship. Regarding the amount of this issue, from 07.12.2018 onwards, the contract for the sale of the prepared property must be at least $ 250,000.


 

What are the requirements for obtaining citizenship through real estate?

     Value report is a report that shows the value of property in the real estate market.

     There are companies (to determine real estate) by the Market Value Committee and the Turkish Value Experts Association, which foreigners can register to apply for a value report.


 

What is the validity date of this report?

     It is 3 months from the time of setting it up. Also, if these three months pass before the purchase, the report will be taken again.

Note: In real estate purchased before 04.03.2019 there is no need to submit a value report


 

What is proof of suitability (uygunluk belgesi) and where is it obtained?

     This document was also sent to the management department of the Foreign Affairs Office after receiving the commitment not to sell the immovable property for three years.

    The eligibility form will be prepared by the management of the foreign administration after performing the required checks, and the foreigner can apply for a residence permit and then obtain citizenship after receiving the eligibility form.


 

Can we sell real estate three years ago?

It is possible to sell In this case, the management of the document office has questioned the conditions notified to the population office, and of course, the citizenship status of the foreigner will be re-examined from the beginning.
